On 17.11.2020 there will be held, co-organized by the ICFO, a Special Session of combined seminars “Seminar on the Philosophy of Science at the Warsaw University of Technology” and “Seminar on Philosophical Problems of Knowledge at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences”.

It will be held in Polish and in remote mode on Zoom.

The session will be entitled “Towards an Informatic Philosophy” and will focus on selected philosophical and informatic issues in the work of Professor Witold Marciszewski.

The meeting will consist of two talks:
1) “An informatic philosophy and Turing paradigm” – Kazimierz Trzęsicki,
2) “The philosophy of informatics, which was not dreamt of by computer scientists” – Paweł Polak.

An extensive introduction to the subject of the session will be given by Paweł Stacewicz.
The papers will be followed by a discussion chaired by Zbigniew Król.
