Current and planned activities
A key aim of the group is to initiate and sustain cooperation with both Polish and international research centers in the field. In pursuit of this aim, we are engaged in the following activities:
- Joint organisation of the Ethics & AI, Philosophy in Informatics IX & 19th ArgDiaP Joint Conference, 23–25 September, 2024, with the Laboratory of the New Ethos.
- Organsiation of the 7th International Conference on the History and Philosophy of Computing (HaPoC-7), 18–20 October, 2023.
- Organisation of the Philosophy in Informatics (FiI) conference series
- Seminar on the philosophy of science at PW (with focus on the philosophical aspects of computing)
- Inviting distinguished guest professors to PW (to date: Raymond Turner, Giuseppe Primiero, Corey J. Maley)
- Hosting a workshop series on computational models at PW and other universities (Warsaw in May 2019 and Kraków in March 2020 so far)
- Initiating and moderating academic debates on the Café Aleph blog, curated by Paweł Stacewicz and Witold Marciszewski
