On 13-14 December 2018, a nationwide conference entitled "Philosophy of Science and Formal Methods in Philosophy" will be held. The first edition of the Conference, organized under the patronage of the Polish Association of Logic and Philosophy of Science, took place in Krakow in 2016 at the Jagiellonian University. The second edition of the conference took place on 22-23 November 2017 at the Catholic University of Lublin. The Third Summer School on Argumentation: Computational and Linguistic Perspectives (SSA 2018) is a part of Warsaw Argumentation Week (WAW 2018), and will be held from 6th to 16th September 2018 at the Warsaw University of Technology. WAW 2018 includes COMMA 2018, themed COMMA workshops, and the 16th ArgDiaP conference and workshops with the possibility of reducing registration fees in the case of registering for more than one WAW event. In cooperation with the Academia Europaea, the ICFO invites you to an open and interdisciplinary seminar entitled Philosophy and Mathematics. The seminar will take place in Wrocław on October 5, 2018. Participants will reflect on what divides and connects contemporary philosophy and mathematics. The old philosophical discipline of metaphysics – after having been pronounced dead by many – has enjoyed a significant revival within the last thirty years, due to the application of the methods of Analytical Philosophy.
